Meet TracPoint's newest Marketing Intern, Selena Frongillo.
Selena is currently a senior at Endicott College, striving towards a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Communications and a minor in Professional Writing. She grew up in a small town in Central Massachusetts, called Hopedale. Writing and creating artwork was something she always loved doing from a young age. As a child, she would write stories and songs in her free time. As she grew up, she found a love for social media and found a major that combined her two passions. Her favorite social media platform is Instagram because although she loves writing, she loves how visually-focused it is and enjoys staying connected to friends and family in a creative way.
Alongside her love for social media, Selena enjoys blogging. Being able to have her written work reach a wide audience and display her creativity is something she takes great pride in. TracPoint’s marketing facet and company size initially drew Selena to apply for an internship. “The people here make it a great place to work and have given me a positive impression of how a local digital marketing company works.” As an intern, her main tasks include blogging, video creation, social media research and more to come. Selena’s most memorable experience at TracPoint thus far was attending a marketing conference hosted by HubSpot in Boston alongside the TracPoint’s marketing team.
When asked what advice she would give to students who want to get into digital marketing, Selena said what helped her most was the amount of internships she was able to obtain. “Being able to gain hands-on, real-world experience from four different companies during my undergraduate years provided me with the skills and confidence I needed to go out into the professional world.” She also advises to write as much as possible, as her creative writing skills have taken her far in all of her professional roles.
Outside of her internship, Selena enjoys spending her time with friends and family. Additionally, she is apart of Endicott’s a cappella group where she puts her main passion—singing—into practice. Her dream job is to be a singer/songwriter, but she would settle for marketing for artists. For now, Selena will finish out her senior year and enjoy her final months before the real world!
