Meet the man behind TracPoint, Brad MacArthur.

Brad received his BSBA in Marketing at the University of Maine and soon after graduation went to work for MobileComm/BellSouth where he spent many years working as a Senior Sales Manager responsible for a B2B team of 15 sales reps in the New England area.  From there,  he took a position to open up the Boston office for a company called TSR Wireless.  At the time, this was the largest privately held paging carrier in the country. Over the course of 5 + years, Brad opened up 20 retail stores in the Boston area, and managed over 150 locations and 500 employees in the North East as a Regional VP.

From 1999 - 2003, Brad was on a plane each week travelling for work and thought about how he was spending precious moments away from his family and new born daughter. Missing family time combined with his knowledge of the industry and a desire to work for himself ultimately led him to the decision to start his own business.

With a new business comes new challenges, but the biggest challenge for Brad was the fear of going into the unknown and finally just making that decision to jump in. In his head Brad knew that 90% of new businesses fail within the first 5 years so that alone created motivation for him to make it work and not be a statistic.  Brad says "There have been so many good things that have happened along  the way,  along with plenty of challenges that have made the entire journey memorable" but his most memorable moment's were when Verizon and Sprint saw TracPoint's products and decided to include them as part of their Coop program. This was the validation that Brad and the company needed to know they had made it.

Brad continues to succeed through his business endeavors as he transitioned the company from a print to digital marketing agency. With this adjustment came new partners, one of them being Chuck Goetschel from Rallio. Chuck says that "Brad is one of the most business savvy leaders I know. His ultra calm demeanor on every conference call and even through each negotiation is truly unique to Brad and is a very impressive quality. He has the ability to keep to productive pressure and yet not feel pushy. He's creative and highly driven, making a great partner."

Despite Brad's professional success, he finds time for fun outside of the office. During the summer months he participates in an “an over the hill” men's softball league and also spends weekends up at his family lake house on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. Brad enjoys staying active whether it's by doing renovations, working out or outdoor activities. And his most recent venture was suggested by his daughter, Christina to get a chicken coop with a few chickens. So now he has a few farm chores, but happy to get fresh eggs!

The rest of the TracPoint team can't wait to see what comes from Brad next!
